its football season!

On Saturday, August 18 with the famous Roller Mills in the background, Lehi football officially began with the Lehi Youth Football Jamboree at the High School.

Parker is #55 & playing right tackle and occasionally line backer on his team:
Lehi 5A Whetzel

This is Dallin's inagural year as a football player:
A good experience for gaining knowledge of the game, field positioning and making contact.  He is #11 & playing as a lineman for his team:  Lehi 7A Gallagher
 Dallin's Game 1:  8/25/12
Vs.  Lehi 7A Cooper
(0 - 32, certainly a game to build on)
(Nothing like going up against a friend:  #55)

Parker's Game 1:  8/25/12
Vs.  Lehi 5A Foidel
(19 - 6, another game to build on)

And Kyralyn loves her Saturday morning playtime with her new football friends.

Bear Lake 2012

August 9, 10, 11

Dallin loved using the scuba gear Uncle Lincoln brought

A very nice person shared his waverunner and tube with our kids for a few rides.  Kyralyn & Parker are on with Paul in this one.
This was Keelan's favorite activity for the weekend

Thanks for the boats Nana

Goodbye

The aftermath of permanent change has no place in a 6 year old mind.
The closed door, the empty house, the covered windows, an absent playmate.
These don't exist right now.

Their minds know that something will be different.
But the tears haven't arrived.

Now is the time for pure enjoyment.

 Load up & Move Day

We enjoyed one last dinner together before the airport pickup.
The next day you were stopped in your tracks when you tried to wander over to play only to remind yourself of her absence.
Good thing you love to talk on the phone.
And Skype (if Mom will ever remind you!)
He played with us in the morning.  After a late lunch he laid his head down on the step.  I casually suggested he lay on my bed.  Next thing I know he was asleep.
When he woke up he wanted to go home.
But finding home empty of his belongings he gave his mom a hug and walked right back over to our house.

I miss your surprise visits!  But don't worry, should you pay another I will call Mom and let her know you're ok to stay and play.
